Maintenance engineers often need to cross pipes, boundary walls, or cable networks. Our GRP Step Over Platforms provide a safe, non-corrosive, and durable solution for rooftop access, protecting both your workforce and your infrastructure from damage.

1. Custom-Built to Suit Your Site

Every site is different that’s why each Step Over is custom-engineered to your exact requirements. We can manufacture to any height, width, or length, and configure your platform to:

  • Turn corners or change direction

  • Include access steps or ladders from multiple sides

  • Feature single-side handrails for wall installations

  • Integrate self-closing gates, safety chains, or lighting

 

All models come with high-visibility, high-contrast stair nosing as standard, reducing the risk of slips, trips, and falls in low-light conditions.

2. Designed for Strength and Compliance

Our GRP Step Overs are built to a minimum Safe Working Load of 5kN/m², safely supporting multiple workers, tools, and equipment. Each unit meets the following British Standards for safety and performance:

  • BS EN ISO 14122

  • BS EN 5394-1

  • BS 4592-6

3. Lightweight, Low-Maintenance, and Easy to Install

Made from Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) — less than half the weight of steel — these platforms are ideal for rooftops and elevated areas. Step Overs are supplied fully fabricated or in modular sections, allowing for manual installation without heavy lifting equipment.

Constructed with QuartzGrip Standard Mesh Grating and SafeRail ergonomic handrails, our platforms deliver superior grip and stability — even in wet, icy, or oily environments. GRP’s non-conductive, corrosion-resistant properties also make it perfect for harsh or coastal conditions.
