No two rail embankments are the same. Steep, uneven slopes between road and track demand a staircase solution that is engineered—not improvised. Our GRP Embankment Staircases are purpose-designed for these environments, ensuring reliable access for inspection, maintenance and emergency response.

Every project begins with a detailed site survey. Our Step on Safety CAD Engineers then develop a fully compliant design that meets all Network Rail (NWR) specifications. Mid-flight platforms, safety gates and continuous GRP handrail systems are integrated to minimise risk—ensuring that even in the event of a slip, users remain safely away from the track.

Optional enhancements such as self-closing gates or security features can be added as required. Many Rail Access Points across the UK still rely on aging timber structures. These rotten steps become slippery, unstable and unsafe making even routine maintenance hazardous. Our GRP solutions eliminate these issues for good.

Each embankment staircase is manufactured in sections at our Suffolk facility for rapid delivery and installation. We can install the system ourselves or supply it in easy-to-assemble modules for your onsite contractors.
