Vital GRP publishes Sustainability Report and exports more than 1,000 kWh of renewable electricity in one week

At Vital GRP, sustainability is not a standalone initiative. It is being built into how we measure, operate and invest for the future.
We have published our latest Sustainability Report, providing a transparent view of our carbon footprint across direct operations, purchased energy and the wider value chain.
Our reported emissions are:
• Scope 1: 19.906 tCO₂e
• Scope 2: 5.841 tCO₂e
• Scope 3: 1,426.910 tCO₂e
• Total carbon footprint: 1,452.657 tCO₂e
Operational emissions across Scopes 1 and 2 totalled 25.747 tCO₂e. We have also reported across all 15 Scope 3 categories, giving us a more complete basis for action across procurement, logistics, travel, commuting, product efficiency and circularity.
Alongside the report, our on-site renewable energy infrastructure is already making a tangible contribution.
Since April, we have exported more than 11,600 kWh of renewable electricity back to the grid. During the particularly hot weather last week alone, our site exported over 1,000 kWh.
Our six on-site electric vehicle charging points have also been supported by on-site renewable generation, helping reduce reliance on imported grid electricity during charging periods.
Kevin Webb, the Company Managing Director said:

We are proud of the progress so far putting us in the top 5-10% of companies worldwide, but this is about continuing to improve year after year.”
Our priorities moving forward include sustainable procurement and supplier engagement, lower-carbon transport and logistics, reducing business travel, supporting greener commuting and homeworking, and improving product efficiency and circularity.
This is not the finish line. It is a clear, evidence-led platform for the next stage of Vital GRP’s sustainability journey.
